WILLIAM PATRICK LEDFORD  (PAT ) , 89 YEARS OLD
   JANUARY 3, 1930 - FEBRUARY 22, 2019
 
SON OF WILLIAM LEDFORD, SR. AND CORINNE BRAY
  
HE SERVED FROM 1950-1954 IN THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE, ACHIEVING THE RANK OF STAFF SERGEANT. WHILE ON DUTY IN KOREA HE WAS WOUNDED AND UNDERWENT REHABILITATION FROM HIS INJURIES AT MASARA AFB IN TOKYO, JAPAN. HE WAS AWARDED THE BRONZE STAR FOR HIS COMBAT SERVICE AND WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED FROM THE MILITARY.
  
PAT ENJOYED A FULL CAREER AS AN AIRLINE PILOT FOR NATIONAL AIRLINES AND THEN PAN AMERICAN AIRLINES, ACHIEVING THE RANK OF CAPTAIN AND CHIEF PILOT OF NUMEROUS AIRCRAFT DURING HIS CAREER OF MANY YEARS.
  
PAT FOUND GREAT PLEASURE IN FISHING BUT HAD AN EVEN STRONGER INTEREST IN BUILDING AND FLYING PITTS SPECIAL AEROBATIC AIRPLANES.
  
HE DEEPLY LOVED HIS FAMILY AND WAS CONTINUALLY CONCERNED FOR THEIR CARE AND WELL BEING.
  
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE DOROTHY OF 63 YEARS, HIS DAUGHTER PATRICIA VERAS, HIS  SON TROY LEDFORD AND HIS WIFE MELANIE AND THEIR SON LANDON. HIS GRANCHILDREN BROOKE AND BLAKE AND THEIR MOTHER JAN LEDFORD.  HIS SISTERS JUDY HAMILTON AND LINDA LEDFORD,  HIS BROTHERS GARY AND TED LEDFORD. IN ADDITION, HE HAS MANY NIECES AND NEPHEWS.   
 
THE SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT BRANAM FUNERAL HOME IN HOMESTEAD, FLORIDA ON MONDAY FEBRUARY 25,  2019 AT 11:00.
  
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS DONATIONS CAN BE MADE IN HIS MEMORY TO:
