___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

Obituary……………… Teasley, Allen
Teasley, Allen, died peacefully in St. Petersburg, Florida on Sunday, December 22nd at the age of 86. One of 11 children, he grew up on a farm in Apison, TN. When he was nineteen, at the local airport he encountered a gleaming silver Douglas DC-3 airplane piloted by a white-scarfed aviator. He knew instantly what he wanted to do with his life. His first flight was a military transport to join the U.S. Marines. He was part of the "Checkerboard" squadron and met Imogene (Jean) Pederson on a blind date at Naval Air Station Pensacola. After marriage she convinced him to move to the frozen land of Minnesota where he joined Northwest Airlines (NWA). He started on the DC-4 and finished 33 years later on the 747. He was a Viking season ticket holder at Metropolitan stadium and an avid golfer, winning the local senior club championship at age 75. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean and is survived by his daughter Tonia, son Brian, and grandsons Justin and Morgan. Service at Zion Lutheran Church, Odin, MN on Saturday, January 11 at 1:00 PM. Interment at Zion Cemetery.
