___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

~ IN MEMORY ~
Military veteran, PAA/DL Capt. Charles Chauncey Spencer
November 4, 1937 ~ March 16, 2020

Our website has received this notice with the passing of retired Pan Am/Delta pilot Capt. Charles Chauncey Spencer, age 82.  Captain Spencer joined Pan American 11-02-1964 and retired with Delta Air Lines, based NYC/031.  He is survived by his wife Joanne.
Captain Spencer’s good friend and contact Capt. Watkins writes:  “Chuck died March 16th in Tucson after a long illness. He was cremated and his ashes will be spread at his CT home later. We were roommates in Navy Preflight Class 41-59. He flew AD's in VA-215 off the Hancock in Vietnam. He and his father flew many years with PAA and Chuck came over to DAL with the merger. Thanks, Paul Watkins, Capt. retired DAL 030/ATL.”     w4fdk73@gmail.com   (706) 878-1057
