WALTERS, Thomas
Thomas David "Tex" Walters passed away due to
cancer August 14, 2020 peacefully at home in Dallas at the age of 82. Dave was
born October 31, 1937 in Ft. Worth Texas. He discovered flying at an early age,
and joined the Navy to become a pilot. After serving, he flew for Delta
Airlines. He met his wife Marion via the airline community in Atlanta, and they
eventually settled in Dallas. He was a dedicated and loving husband, a fiercely
proud father, and the most tickling Granddad. Dave was an avid hunter, shooter,
highly regarded gunsmith, and loved working with his hands. He was a reliable
and generous friend. He will be missed. He is survived by his wife Marion,
daughter Mary, son Lawrence and wife Bala, two grandchildren as well as sister
Pat, brother Bill, loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time
friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to Church of the
Incarnation, ATTN: Covid Relief Fund, 3966 Mckinney Ave, Dallas TX 75204. He
will be interred at a private ceremony.

Friends write with news of the passing of retired Delta
pilot Captain T. David Walters, age 82 :
“…our good friend, Dave Walters, passed on Friday morning,
August 14, 2020 at home in his sleep.
His wife, Marion, is awaiting instructions from DFW National Cemetery
for further details.”
Captain Walters joined Delta Air Lines 02-08-1965 and
retired with Delta in 1997, based 031/ATL.
