NWA F/A Sharon Elaine Frans-Wright, widow of NWA Capt. Chuck Wright

October 30, 1940 ~ September 12,  2020

 

News has reached our group with the passing of former Northwest Airlines stewardess Sharon Frans-Wright, widow of Northwest pilot Capt. CHARLES LEE WRIGHT JR.  Captain Wright joined Northwest Airlines 07-07-1949.  He passed in August of 2000…..please see obituary below.

Friends write of Sharon:  “What a great lady with such a great smile. I don’t know what year she started as a NWA Stewardess, but she was a very special part of our NWA lives.”

Sharon had most recently resided in Kirkland, Washington but also spent time in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Arrangements for Sharon are not yet known.

Obituary for Mr Charles Lee Or Chuck Wright, 73

 

Charles Lee ''Chuck'' Wright Jr. of Kirkland died Aug. 25, 2000, at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland. He was 73.

 

Mr. Wright was born Dec. 30, 1926, in Montana and lived his early years in Minneapolis, where he attended Washburn High School and the University of Minnesota.

 

An airline pilot, he received his first captain assignment in 1958, flew 747 planes for 11 years and was a Northwest Airlines pilot for 37 years until his retirement. During his later years he lived in both Kirkland and Sun Valley.

 

Mr. Wright enjoyed skiing, the outdoors, his dogs and life itself.

 

Survivors include his wife, Sharon ''Lena'' Wright; sons Charles III and John; daughters Cynthia, Debbie and Patricia; and four grandchildren.

 

A dedication to life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.

 

Remembrances may be made to Evergreen Healthcare and Hospice Foundation, 12910 Totem Lake Blvd., Kirkland, WA 98034.
