USAF veteran, NWA/DL Capt. Harvey Allan Mahood

April 8, 1951 ~ June 10, 2021

 


Family members have contacted our website advising us of the passing of retired Northwest/Delta pilot Captain Harvey Allan Mahood, age 70.  We understand that his passing was due to complications of cancer and a stroke. Captain Mahood joined Northwest Airlines 09-23-1985 and retired with Delta Air Lines in 2011, based MSP.

Obituary :  Major Harvey Allan Mahood from Marysville, WA, received PCS orders to Heaven on Thursday the 10th of June, 2021. Harvey earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Air Force Academy, a masters in Meteorology at the University of Utah, and his Wings through the United States Air Force. He retired as an Air Force fighter pilot in 1992 (serving 18 years) and retired in 2011 as a Northwest airline pilot with 26 years of service. Harvey’s retirement consisted of building his Friday Harbor home, volunteering for his community, and going to the opera. He’s survived by daughter Jody Long, brother Doug Mahood, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Details for Harvey’s memorial (scheduled for the 2nd weekend in July) will be posted later with Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
