Tommy Anderson Tinker

Tommy Anderson Tinker, 88, of Kapaau, died
August 22 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Van Nuys, Calif., he was a
retired U.S. Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, commercial pilot for Pacific
Airlines and Northwest Airlines, a diver, skier and past president of the
Merchants Association and Kohala Hospital Community Foundation Board. No
service planned at this time. Ocean scattering of ashes at a later date. No
flowers; memorial donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Survived by wife, Cynthia Smith of Kapaau; son, H.G. (Laura) Tinker of New
York; daughters, Kelly (Jim) Gronwald of Arizona, Dana (Bill) Greenroad and
Rebecca (Greg) Coburn of California; 12 grandchildren. Arrangements by
Cremation Services of West Hawaii.

From friends and colleagues we have learned of the passing
of retired Pacific/Hughes AirWest/Northwest pilot Captain Tommy Anderson Tinker,
age 88. Born in California and a Marine
pilot, Captain Tinker began his commercial aviation career with Pacific Air Lines
08-19-1959, made the various mergers with Republic/Hughes AirWest etc., and retired
with Northwest Airlines. He is survived
by his wife Cindy/Cynthia. For those
