Notice of passing …..  Delta captain USAFR Colonel Paul R. Wietbrock, age 57.  Colonel Wietbrock joined Delta Air Lines 03-09-2000.  He is survived by his wife Lisa and his children.

Obituary : Colonel Paul R. Wietbrock, USAFR,  57, of Lowell, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021.  He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lisa; children Sarah and John; parents, Ronald and Judy; sister in law, Susie; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

 

He was recently preceded in death by his brother, David.

 

Paul was a graduate of Lowell High School, Indiana State University ROTC, and Embry Riddle Aeronautical Univ.  He was a member of Lowell’s American Legion, VFW, Lion’s Club and Trinity Lutheran Church.  Paul was a Captain with Delta Airlines since 2000.  He served in the United States Air Force for 30 years, 12 years active duty, followed by 18 years in the Air Force Reserves.  

 

Paul dedicated his life to GOD, family, Country and friends.  His zest for life and sense of humor was contagious.  He had a smile for everyone. To be with Paul was a guaranteed good time.

 

Visitation Thursday, September 16 from 4-8 at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell, with Funeral Services, Friday at 11 AM, at his church, 631 W. Commercial Ave., Lowell.  Burial will follow in Lowell Memorial Cemetery.
