Military veteran, DL Capt. Theodore A. 'Ted' Tweet
September 19, 1938 ~ December 11, 2021
From family we have learned of the passing of
retired Delta pilot Capt. Ted Tweet, age 83.
“… Delta Captain Theodore Allen 'Ted' Tweet, 83, died at Northside
Cherokee Hospital in Canton, GA at around 6:00 PM, Saturday, December 11,
2021. Ted had been admitted earlier in the
week for treatment of gall bladder problems but due to his congestive heart
failure issues the physicians were limited in the treatment they could
administer. Ted was born 9/19/1938 and
hired by Delta 2/8/1965 and was based in Atlanta most of his career.”

Thank you again to Mrs. Jo Tweet for calling with
the obituary information and the funeral schedule. A reception will be held following the
funeral service at Cross of Life Lutheran Church. Cross of Life Lutheran Church is at 1000
Hembree Road in Roswell, Georgia.

Obituary for Mr. Theodore Allen Tweet
Theodore “Ted” A. Tweet, 83, of Woodstock,
Georgia, peacefully passed on December 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by
his brother-in-law, John H. Swanson.
Ted was a long time and active member of Cross of
Life Lutheran Church, in Roswell. He attended high school and Drake University
in Des Moines, IA. His military service began with the Air Force Cadets. He
later served as a pilot in the Air National Guard. Ted flew for Delta Airlines
as a pilot for over 33 years. Ted enjoyed many activities such as sailing,
skiing, tennis, bridge, and traveling. Most of all he cared for his family. He
was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Ted is survived by his wife, Jo, of almost 61
years, sister-in-law, Carmen Swanson, of Beloit, WI and his daughter, Wendy,
and her husband Bill Lehman, of Shawnee, KS, and his son, Don, of Canton, GA
and grandchildren Eric, and Andrew Tweet.
A funeral service will be held:
Thursday, December 16th, at 2 PM at Cross of Life
Lutheran Church, in Roswell, GA.

wishing may make donations to Cross of Life Men’s Ministry.
