___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

This info was taken from Mike’s Lnkd page:  “I am currently a First Officer, flying the 737, for Delta Air lines. Previously I worked at SkyWest Airlines, where I served as both a First Officer and Captain. I also spent three years teaching the FTD and CTP courses for SkyWest in level D simulators while flying the line. To obtain my flight hours, for the airlines, I worked as a CFI, CFII and MEI for Utah Valley University’s flight department. I currently have 7800 flight hours.  I am also an avid runner and would race for money on weekends, with a marathon PR of 2 hours 22 minutes.”

And from his facebook page:  “Mike passed away tragically in an accident while traveling in Croatia……he was a great runner and a great friend. We'll always remember the legendary pile of melted gummy bears on the dashboard, the great conversations about setting goals, and the way he dropped the other teams on the last of 24 legs of the Redrock Relay. Keep running Mike! You will be greatly missed!”
