As noted in the May issue of The Air Line Pilot magazine’s “In Memoriam” column….the passing of F/O Michael Patrick Richardson, aka. PK, age 59.  Michael joined Delta Air Lines 08-27-1997 and was based ATL.  Notice of PK’s passing is available online at

Pk's obituary

PK Richardson, 59, of Savannah, GA passed away peacefully on February 25, 2022, surrounded by his family and loved ones. PK grew up in Hamilton, Ohio. He worked as a pilot at Delta Airlines, Atlanta Georgia for the last 25 years and he enjoyed flying. He spent 13 years with the United States Marine Corps prior.  PK will be dearly missed and always remembered by many. PK was predeceased by his father Michael Gary Richardson. He is survived by his mother Susie Evans, sister Thyra Sens, his wife Hanna Sandlyng and his children: Schuck, Anna and John Richardson as well as by many nieces, nephews and relatives. PK requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. His celebration of life will be held privately.

1/LT MICHAEL PATRICK RICHARDSON, USMCR

1/LT RICHARDSON is a 1986 graduate of Miami University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He carrier qualified aboard the USS JOHN F. KENNEDY in August 1989 (T-2) and in the A-4 SKYHAWK aboard the USS LEXINGTON (AVT-16) on February 23, 1990.
