Notice of passing….retired Northwest Airlines pilot Captain Richard “Dick” Arthur Haglund, age 90.  Captain Haglund joined Northwest Airlines 04-04-1959.  He is survived by his wife Lois and by their children and grandchildren.

Richard (Dick), 90, born February 2, 1933 in Opstead County, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife Lois, children Cindy (John) Ricard and Steve Haglund, six grandchildren Tyler, Hailey, Riley, Logan, Sydney, Carter, brother James. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Annie, brothers Robert, Kenneth and Gordon.

Richard had a fulfilling career as a pilot for Northwest Airlines for 33 years, and a rewarding retirement spending summers in Crosslake, Minnesota and winters in Bradenton, Florida.  Richard was a kind and generous man who left a positive influence on many of us. He was loved by many and will be missed. Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 15 at 5:00 pm with visitation starting at 4:00 pm at Wulff Funeral Home, 1495 White Bear Avenue, St. Paul 55106. Memorials may be directed to Crosslake Lutheran Church, 35960 Cty Rd. 66, Crosslake, MN 56422.
