September 17, 1939 - May 11, 2023

 


Captain Taft joined Delta Air Lines 02-03-1969 and was based Atlanta and then LAX prior to retiring.

Walter Taft Obituary

Walter Taft died Thursday, May 11, 2023 in Pomona, California, aged 83. Son of the late Walter Lars Sr. and Alyce Lucille Blakely Taft; also preceded in death by his sisters Winifred Ryhn, Jeanette Tichenor, and Virginia Sandor. Uncle, cousin, great-uncle, and friend. Walter loved to fly airplanes, in the Air Force, as a pilot with Delta Airlines, and as the owner of a 1949 vintage Cessna C-140A.
