NWA Capt. Mario R. Sotolongo

Mario is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Magdalena “Magda”.

 

He is survived by wife of 41 years, Mona; sons, Aleck and Nicolas; nephews, Robert (Lizbel) and Octavio (Patricia) Fernandez; and many extended family members and friends.

 

A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church at a later date.

NWA Capt. Mario R. Sotolongo

August 1, 1945 ~ August 2, 2025

 

From friends & colleagues, we have just learned of the passing of retired Northwest Airlines pilot Captain Mario Ramon Sotolongo, age 80.  Mario joined Northwest Airlines 04-25-1977.  He had most recently resided in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Services for Captain Sotolongo will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 530 Elizabeth St., Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Inurnment will follow the Funeral Mass at the St. Thomas Cemetery.
