___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

Brenda Douglass, wife of WA/DLCapt. Clem Douglass

Word has been received of the passing of Brenda Fern Hunt Douglass, wife of WA/DL pilot Capt. Clemuent Tranumn ‘Clem’ Douglass III.  A celebration of Brenda's life was held on her 59th birthday May 19th.  Please note more information below and please take a look at Brenda’s caringbridge site  http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/brendadouglass  which journals her courageous fight with lung and brain cancer.  You will also see lots of great family pictures.  It is evident that Brenda will be missed tremendously by a wonderful family and her many friends!

Subject:  Brenda Douglass
As many of you know (http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/brendadouglass), Brenda went to heaven last Monday night, peacefully and quietly in her "healing room" which we had set up at her request in the Fireplace room on the main level of our house, and surrounded by her family and friends.  Her cremains sit on the mantle in that room, and will be interred at the Air Force Academy sometime next month in a Memorial Ceremony.  In the meantime, a celebration of her life will be held on her 59th birthday, Saturday, May 19th at North Oaks Country Club, 54 E. Oak Road, North Oaks, MN 55127 from 1-3 PM.  You are welcome to attend.  (In true Brenda Douglass fashion, she was able to attend all the wedding events of CT IV and his bride, Amy before passing twenty-two hours later.)
Please check out the Caring Bridge website (above) written by her brother and sister explaining her yearlong effort to survive a terrible disease.  And don't hesitate to call me if you have any questions or comments.
With Love, Clem 651-246-5195
