Notification of the passing of Viet Nam veteran and retired DL pilot Captain Ray William Kimick, age 73.  Captain Kimick hired on with Delta 10-02-1967 and was based ATL.

KIMICK, Ray
Ray William Kimick, 73 of Roswell, Georgia, died on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. He was a retired pilot for Delta Airlines and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife, Paula (Rogers) Kimick; two sons and several other family members. Cremation was chosen.

Ray William Kimick, 73 of Roswell, Georgia, formerly of Scottsburg, died on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at his residence. He was born on June 24, 1939 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Maurice and Fern (Kennedy) Kimick. Ray was a retired pilot for Delta Airlines and served his country in the Vietnam War as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force and was later promoted to Major. Survivors include his wife, Paula (Rogers) Kimick; two sons, Kevin Kimick and his wife Gina of Salt Lake City, Utah and Scott Kimick and his wife Kira of Santa Rosa, California; a stepson, Bryant Rhyne and his wife Michele of Marietta, Georgia; a sister, Hazel Whitworth of Jeffersonville, Indiana and a granddaughter, Macey Kimick and four step grandchildren, Alex and Ryley Templin and Rachel and Madison Rhyne. Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana will conduct a graveside service with full military honors at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Scottsburg Cemetery.
