The passing of NWA Captain Thomas F. Flavin is noted in the Memoriam column
of the January/February 2012 issue of Air Line Pilot/ALPA magazine.  Born in Missouri on November 13, 1929 Thomas Francis Flavin II. was 82 years of age at the time of his passing November 16, 2011.  He is survived by his wife Carole Ann Chase Flavin and their children.

Flavin, Thomas Francis Jr., Age 82 of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2011 with his family by his side. He is survived by loving wife, Carole; children, Tom III (Liz), Michael (Anne), Kathleen (Tom) Wickstrom, and Patrick (Heidi); 15 grandchildren; sister, Jeanne Lambert and family. Memorial Mass at St. Edwards, 9401 Nesbitt, Bloomington, December 30th, 11 AM, visitation 10-11 AM. Burial to follow at Fort Snelling, assembly #4. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Assoc "To fly west, my friend, is a flight we all must take for a final check."
