The passing of SGT US ARMY AIR CORPS WWII veteran and NWA F/O John I. Snede is noted in the Memoriam column of the June/July 2012 issue of Air Line Pilot/ALPA magazine.  Born June 3, 1925 John Ingbert Snede was 86 years of age at the time of his April 27, 2012.  John was predeceased by his wife Alice who passed away February 9, 2011.  He had most recently resided in the Minneapolis MN area.

Snede, John I. age 86, of St. Anthony, passed away April 27, 2012. Preceded in death by wife, Alice; infant son, and brother, Arthur. Survived by children, Randy (Fran), Don (Christy), Barb (Mike) Amidon and Paul; grandchildren, Peter (Courtney), Katy (Nick), Sara, Jessie (Josh), Lexy, Allison, Hannah, Marissa, Erik and Marin; great-grandsons, Ethan and Evan; brother, Kenneth (Joyce); other relatives and many friends. He will be remembered as a man of great faith and a good friend to many. Memorials preferred to American Diabetes Association or Nativity Lutheran Church. Funeral service 11 AM Tuesday, May 1 at Nativity Lutheran Church, 3312 Silver Lake Road, St. Anthony. Interment Ft. Snelling.
