Notification with the passing of NWA Captain Raymond William Kelly, age 86.
I believe Captain Kelly hired on with North Central Airlines circa 1954, made the merger with Republic, then retired at merger time with Northwest Airlines or shortly after.

Obituary for Raymond William Kelly  ..............
Kelly, Raymond W. age 86, of Bloomington, passed away 4/18/14. Preceded in death by brother Paul. Survived by loving wife, Nancy; daughters, Kathleen (Randy) Hedlund, and Mary (Mark) Kelly; 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Ray was a pilot for 36 years, retiring as Captain from Northwest Airlines. He cherished time with family and friends, golfing, tennis, and telling good stories. Services will be held Wednesday, April 23rd at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie.
