He started his airline career with Bonanza at the merger of three airlines. Continuing through Air West, Hughes Air West, Republic and finally Northwest.

Belated notification....this is an ALPA
reported death that we had not previously been made aware of. The ALPA issue
month shows when the death was reported.
Below is what information I could find for
(NWA) Captain James W. Hibbs.
I could not find an online obituary or airline
affiliation but believe this to be James William Hibbs Jr. of Nevada,
Missouri.
Perhaps Captain Hibbs flew for Southern
or Republic before they merged with Northwest.
If anyone has more information, I would
appreciate your input and thank you very
much.
