Major John Brislan Major (Ret.) John Joseph Brislan, 56, of Ringgold, Ga., a loving husband, father, and beloved family member, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015. John passed after a five month battle with cancer. John will be remembered as a family man and a patriot. Major (Ret) Brislan proudly served in the United States Air Force for 23 years and followed his service with 14 years at Delta Airlines as a Pilot Instructor. He is preceded in death by parents, William and Carmie Brislan; his sister, Kathleen Linsenbigler; and niece, Michelle Matyas. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet; his two sons, Kyle and his wife, Jami Brislan and Zacheriah. He will be dearly missed by his family members: Vivian and George Judzewisch, Steven Langston, Brandon Griggs and Beth Wright, Shawn Henry and Julie Anderson, Kim and Frank McPherson and their daughter Kayla and grandson Jaxson, Jody and Rob Domjin and their daughter CJ, Sebastian West and Stephanie Deschamps, Emma Jean and Albert Thurman, Arvin and Carla Langston, Dave Linsenbigler, Leo Kern, Tony and Shirley Brokish, and all other beloved relatives too numerous to mention. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 1, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carroll Allen officiating.
