NWA Capt. Hans G. Waldenstrom
December 1, 1940 ~ April 23, 2015
 
News has reached us with the passing of RNPA member retired NWA pilot Captain Hans Goran Waldenstrom, age 74.  Captain Waldenstrom joined Northwest Airlines 08-05-1968 and retired with Northwest in 2000.  The Waldenstroms had most recently made their home at 15148 Portside Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33908.

entrusted to Bradshaw Funeral Home of Stillwater, MN.  Visitation and a memorial service have been scheduled for May 15th at Rockpoint Church in Lake Elmo, Minnesota.  Captain Waldenstrom was widowed in 2010 with the passing of his wife Mary.  Survived by their children, perhaps the best contact for the Waldenstrom family would be c/o daughter Susan at 3427 Maureen Lane, Stillwater  MN 55082-6991  ...  (651) 342-1630.

Waldenstrom, Hans
Passed away from brain cancer, peacefully surrounded by family on April 23, 2015. Preceded in death by wife, Mary, who died on November 1, 2010; brother, John; and their parents. Survived by daughters, Susan Waldenstrom, Karla (Timm) Strand; grandchildren, Cole, Gillian, Lucy, and Isabel; brother, Carl (Sharon) Waldenstrom; sister, Karin (Erkki) Mikkola; sister-in-law, Nancy Waldenstrom; many nieces and nephews; and a multitude of dear friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 15 at 2:00PM at ROCKPOINT CHURCH, Hwy 36 and Keats Avenue, Lake Elmo. Family will receive guests one hour prior to the service and at a reception following the service, both at church. Memorials may be sent to Prelude Memory Care or to St. Croix Hospice.

With profound regret I report that NWA Captain and RNPA member Hans Waldenstrom, age 74,  passed away the morning of April 23, 2015. Hans was hired by NWA on August 05,1968 and retired on December 01, 2000. He resided in Ft. Meyer, Florida and was proceeded in death by his wife Mary. 

There is a memorial service planned for 2 Pm May 15 at Rockpoint Church in Stillwater, Minnesota. There will be more information forthcoming regarding a possible Florida memorial service.
