In Memory of Robert Louis Boniol Jr.
April 20, 1931 - June 12, 2015

Obituary.............................

Robert (Bob) Louis Boniol, Jr, son of the late Robert (Bud) Louis and Opal Boniol, born in Merced, CA on April 20, 1931, went to be with our Heavenly Father on June 12, 2015. He is survived by his wife Kathleen, his three children Michele Boniol Bratton, Bridget Boniol and Robert Franklin Boniol, his 6 grandchildren Brian, Tyler and Jason Bratton and Ashley, Abbey and Robby Boniol, and great grandchild Kayleb Brayden Olszewski. Bob was raised in Kamay, TX, attended the University of North Texas at Denton where he graduated in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Finance. He went on to serve in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant Commander Naval Aviator from 1951 - 1955, followed by a 34 year career with Delta Airlines as an L-1011 International Captain. He earned his way to become a Certified Licensed Underwriter in the Life Insurance industry and was a realtor in De Cordova Bend Estates and Pecan Plantation. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed. The family would like to extend heartfelt love and gratitude to Ms. Beatrice Thairu, who was his devoted, compassionate personal caregiver for 15 years. You brought such Joy and Quality beyond measure to his life during those critical years, Beatrice ~ we love you. A Memorial Service will be held to honor Bob's life at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 2:00 PM, to be followed by a reception at the same location: 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX, 75225.

News has reached us with the passing of Navy veteran retired Delta pilot Captain Robert L. Boniol, age 84.  Captain Boniol joined Delta Air Lines 04-30-1956 and was flying international routes prior to his retirement.   He is survived by his wife Kathleen 'Kathy' and their children.

I would like the pilots to know that a long time friend Bob Boniol died last Friday.
Bob had been disabled for over twenty years. His wife, Kathy, would like to notify the pilots who knew Bob.
His service will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest in Dallas on Thursday June 18th at 2:00 P.M.
