Patricia A. Hinkle, 78, of Cavalier, ND, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Cavalier Baptist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Monday, March 6, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church.
Patricia was born on April 16, 1938, to Noel and Ferne (Collins) Lindskov at the family farm near Doland, SD. She grew up and attended school at Doland. Pat then attended Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD, and received her Masters Degree in Physical Education from Moorhead State University. She taught elementary school in Fargo, ND.
On June 10, 1967, she married Dale Hinkle in Fargo, ND. After their marriage, she taught school in Bloomington, MN, and then moved to New Prague, MN, to farm with Dale. In 1978, they returned to Cavalier.
Pat especially enjoyed spending time with her immediate and extended family. Other things she enjoyed were being active in her church, hearing the Gospel, studying the Word with her women's bible study group, reading, writing letters, recognizing everyone's birthdays, bowling, gardening and mowing, attending her grandchildren's activities, and supporting NDSU Bison football and wrestling.
She is survived by her husband, Dale; children: Kari (Chris) Helgoe, Jason (Sara) Hinkle, Justin (Lacey) Hinkle, all of Cavalier; grandchildren: Noah, Graesen, and Emersen Helgoe; Daniel, Trevor, and Levi Hinkle; Elias, Wyatt, and Hazel Justine Hinkle; mother, Ferne Lindskov; siblings: Charlotte Johnson, Beverly Stanford, Nancy (Lester) Bloem, John (Gloria) Lindskov, Cheryl (Mark) Meiers; mother-in-law, Lucille Hinkle; brother-in-law, Dean (Beverly) Hinkle; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Farhad) Afshari; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her father, Noel; grandson, Noel Helgoe; brother, Donald Lindskov; sister, Linda Lindskov; nephew, Christian Lindskov.
