Word has been received with the passing of Delta Golden Wings
member Alice Ann Sage, widow of Delta pilot Captain Glen Obie Sage
(1934-1988) and mother of Delta Line Check pilot Captain Glen ‘Judge’ Sage.

Memorial services for Mrs. Sage are planned for July 20th in
Georgia and July 22nd in Texas.

Alice Ann Sage, 82, passed away Monday, July 10,m 2017. She
was born Thursday, September 13, 1934 in Knoxville, Tennessee and is preceded in
death by her parents, Herman and Alice Cherry Tramell; husband, Glen
Sage.
Mrs. Sage was a Stewardess for Delta Airlines until her
marriage to Mr. Sage. Alice Ann is survived by her daughter Cynthia Sage Burke
(Dennis), her sons Glen H. Sage, Kerns Tramell Sage and Ben Childs Sage (Mary
Anne). She was the proud grandmother to seven: Garrett and Bryan Sage; Caroline
and Anna Kerns Burke; Susannah, Nathan and Ryan Sage. Alice Ann is also survived
by her brother, Redford C. Tramell, long-time missionary in Peru.
Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 Thursday, July 20,
2017 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church 850 Mt. Vernon Hwy NW Sandy Springs, Georgia
with Pastor Jim Wood officiating.
A Memorial service will also be conducted 1:30 Saturday, July
22, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Athens 105 South Carroll St. Athens, Texas
with Max Odom officiating.
Burial will take place in Jacksonville City Cemetery,
Jacksonville, Texas.

Capt. Glen Obie Sage
July 11, 1934 ~ November 15, 1988
Mr. Glen Obie Sage, 54, Regional Flight Chief For Delta Air
Lines
Mr. Glen O. Sage of Atlanta, director of flying for the
eastern region for Delta Air Lines, died of cancer Sunday at Emory University
Hospital. He was 54.
Mr. Sage underwent surgery for a brain tumor in April, and he
had a second operation almost two weeks ago, according to his wife, Alice Ann
Tramell Sage.
He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force for six years and had
worked for Delta for 27 years.
Glen Obie Sage was born July 11, 1934, in Jacksonville, Texas,
the third of four children of Ben Isaac Sage and Myriam Childs Sage.
He attended Lon Morris Junior College and served in the Air
Force before joining Delta in 1961. After working as a pilot, line check airman
and chief pilot out of Houston, he became system manager of line operations and
transferred to Delta's general offices in Atlanta in 1984.
In April 1987, he was promoted to director of flying for the
eastern region and was responsible for the pilot bases in Boston, Cincinnati,
Chicago, New Orleans, Miami and Atlanta.

post the obituary of Alice Ann Sage, who died on July 10. Alice Ann was the
widow of Captain Glen Sage, former Director of Flying for Delta Air Lines and
chief pilot in the DFW Base. She is also the mother of current Delta Line Check
Captain Glen “Judge” Sage.
