News has reached us with the passing of retired Western/Delta pilot Captain Gregory Philip Lentz, age 70.  Captain Lentz joined Western Airlines 11-01-1976 and retired with Delta Air Lines, based SLC and PDX/030.  To date, I have not seen an online obituary or guestbook.  Captain Lentz is survived by his wife Amy...please see notes below from friends and family.

I sadly pass on a text I just received from Amy Lentz, Greg Lentz’s wife.
"Sad news. Greg died at 5AM. My brothers got here yesterday........................................................”

    Greg was my neighbor in the late 1980s in Davis and helped teach me how to fly. He took me up a few times out of UC Davis airport. I haven’t kept up with him but sorry to hear of his passing.
