Northeast/Delta pilot Captain Robert Anthony Lord, age 77. Captain Lord joined Northeast Airlines 11-04-1968 and retired
with Delta Air Lines in 2000, based JFK/031. Services for Captain Lord are
planned for this Friday, August 11th in York, Maine....please see obituary and

BOOTHBAY, Maine - Robert Anthony Lord, 77, of Market St., died on Tuesday,
August 1, 2017, from complications of multiple myeloma.
Born June 19, 1940 in Rochester, N.H., and raised in Lebanon, Maine, a son of the late Robert H. and Joan M. (Hough) Lord, he graduated from St. Francis College (University of New England ), Biddeford Pool, Maine. A former teacher at Saint Ignatius HS, Sanford, and Saint Anthony's Monastery, Kennebunk Beach, Bob flew for 30 years with North East and Delta Air Lines, retiring as an international captain in 2000.
Bob and his wife of 50 years, Frances "Franny" (Herman) raised their children in York, Maine.
He leaves his wife; son, Nathan F. Lord and wife Sarah (Guy) and their children Sam and Elizabeth of Waterbury, Vt.; daughter, Ellen S. Michniewicz and husband John and their children Emerson, Raigen and Larkin of York, Maine; brother, Jeremy M. Lord and wife Mary of Longmeadow, Mass.; two sisters, Virginia M. Lord Randall and husband James of Parkersburg, W. Va.; and Robyn F. Austin and husband Donald and sons Joshua and Gregory of Somersworth, N.H.; and also nephews and nieces, Jason Lord and family of New Canaan, Conn.; Emily Lord Beach and family of Burlingame, Calif., and Joshua and Gregory Austin and Christina Austin Cuzzi and family of Bedford, N.H. His extended family, including Ellen Herman and husband Paul Dinkel, and many many friends including Harold Jones and James Carlton, will miss this extraordinary man.
SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 11 at the First Parish Church, 180 York St., York, Maine.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA, York Oncology Center, York, ME, or Boothbay Community Council, Woodchucks' Firewood Program, PO Box 43, Boothbay, ME 04538.
