Word has reached our group with the passing of Western/Delta pilot Captain Lloyd Frederick Wittenburg, age 76 (discrepancy noted with roster year of birth and the age indicated by obituaries...CF).  Captain Wittenburg joined Western Airlines 01-20-1964 and retired with Delta Air Lines, as of June 2001 as Line Check Pilot, based 031/ATL.
Arrangements entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, 207 S. Magnolia St., Palestine TX.

May 15, 1942 - Aug 6, 2017 (Age 74)
Services for Captain Lloyd F. Wittenburg of Palestine will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Evangelistic Temple with Pastor James Henderson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mr. Wittenburg died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at his home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks instead for memorial donations to be made to Redeemed Riders #654, the local chapter of Christian Motorcyclist Association of which Lloyd was a proud member and supporter. The mailing address for donations is; 3258 East FM 323, C/O Lloyd F. Wittenburg Memorial, Palestine, TX. 75801.
