March 6, 1939 – January 12, 2019 
 
News has reached our group with the passing of RNPA member retired Northwest pilot Captain Charles Gregory ‘Greg’ Gillies, age 79.  Captain Gillies joined Northwest Airlines 09-13-1965.  He is survived by his wife Janet, his children and grandchildren.

Charles was born on March 6, 1939 and passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019. Charles was a resident of Minnesota at the time of passing. Greg was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He served in the U.S. Air Force for five years, and was a pilot for twenty-eight years with Northwest Airlines. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center (www.give.umn.edu/giveto/mmcc) or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (www.popmn.org/give).

Charles Gregory Gillies was born in Boston, MA on March 6th, 1939, and passed away January 12th, 2019. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet and his children: Steve (Christine) and Michelle (Jim) and his five grandchildren: Nathan, Jordan, Jessica, Christopher and Megan. Greg was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.  He served in the U.S. Air Force for five years, and was a pilot for twenty-eight years with Northwest Airlines.  
 
A Celebration of Life will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville, MN on January 22nd, 2019. 13901 Fairview Drive, Burnsville, MN 55337.  Visitation at 10:00 AM and service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center (www.give.umn.edu/giveto/mmcc) or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (www.popmn.org/give).
