Word has reached our group... news with the passing of Julie James, widow of Delta Captain William Oswell James.  Julie was 82 years of age at the time of her passing.  Captain James joined Delta Air Lines 01-30-1950.  He passed in January 2006....both obituaries appear below.

Obituary...................
Mrs. Julianne (Julie) James of Fayetteville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 20, 2019. Born April 15, 1936 to George Sanders & Myrtle Gill, she was raised in Tuskegee, Alabama. She attended Auburn University before becoming a flight attendant with Southern Airways. She married the love of her life Bill in 1957, and they raised their family in College Park and Fayetteville. Julie & Bill were active members of Southwest Christian Church since 1972. Through the church, they volunteered at Southwest Christian Hospice and ministered to hundreds of individuals in alcohol & drug recovery through programs such as Metro Atlanta Recovery Residences & Northstar Recovery. Julie was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Oswell James and is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Jeff) Sanders James of Sharpsburg; William Wesley (Wes) James of Fayetteville; Vicki Kathryn James of Lawrenceville; Dave Lamar James of Lawrenceville; grandson, Brian James Welsch and great-granddaughter, Reagan James Welsch.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 3 o’clock at Southwest Christian Church with Ministers Craig Kingston & James White officiating. In honor of Julie, guests are invited to wear blue, Julie’s favorite color, to her service. In lieu of flowers, Julie requested that donations be made to Southwest Christian Church (Newnan, GA), The Bedford School (Fairburn, GA), or Arise Recovery (Fayetteville, GA). Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at www.parrottfuneralhome.com  The family will receive friends Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory, 770-964-4800.

Capt. William O. (Bill) James, age 78, of Fayetteville, GA, died January 31, 2006. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Julie James; children, Dave James, of California; Vickie James of Lawrenceville; Wes James of Fayetteville; and Jeff James of Smyrna. Bill was a retired Delta Air Lines pilot of 38 years. He also served in the Navy. Bill was a faithful servant of God. Visitation will be held at Southwest Christian Church on Thursday, Feb.2 from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Friday, Feb.3 from 5:30 until 7 p.m. A memorial service celebrating Bill's life will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3 at Southwest Christian Church, 4330 Washington Road, East Point, 404-766-1673. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the "Southwest Christian Building Fund", 4330 Washington Rd., East Point, GA 30344. Metro Crematory, Peachtree City, 770-631-4101.
