Belated news....as reported recently in the May issue of ALPA Air Line Pilot magazine’s In Memoriam column, the passing of Delta pilot Captain
*Jeffrey Michael Christman (*note: funeral home spells it Jeffery), age 56.  Captain Christman joined Delta Air Lines 10-16-1997 and was based MSP.  Obituary information may be viewed online at
Captain Christman’s obituary indicates that services were held in Minnesota.

Christman, Jeffery M. of Mpls. Born March 22, 1962, in Madison, WI. Died Jan. 25, 2019, of pancreatic cancer. Although a native 'Scon, his heart and soul belonged to S. Mpls. Spent his youth at Pearl Park where he donned his first orange and blue jersey. 1980 graduate of Washburn HS. Excelled in hockey and baseball (and even played soccer). Member of 1979 state tourney hockey and soccer teams. In 1984 graduated from Boston U where he played four years of JV hockey. After a brief career in retail, he pursued his childhood dream and became a pilot. Flew for Zantop, Mesaba and landed at Delta AirLines in 1997. A simple man who lived a happy life. Some of his favorite things: view from his office or front porch, watching his kids play sports-alone, convertible rides, wiffle ball, bathing in the lake, cribbage, St. Pete Beach, Skippyball and a game seven of any "real" sport. Preceded in death by his father Jan and father-in-law Jack Witta. Survived by wife Annadell; son Henry; daughters Eleanor and Georgia; mother Lois; brothers Mark (Nancy), Phil (Julie), Jack (Janene); mother-in-law Nancy Witta, sister-in-law Carilee Warner; brothers-in-law Jack (Anita), Robert (Gail), Thomas (Kathy) - all Wittas; eight nieces and six nephews. Service will be held 4 pm on Jan. 31 with visitation two hours prior at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4100 Lyndale Ave. S. Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
