Rineman joined Delta Air Lines 08-01-1977.
He is survived by his wife Nancy and by his children and grandchildren.

Obituary : Jon Rineman
North Hampton – Jon R. Rineman, 73, of North
Hampton, passed away peacefully at Benchmark at Rye after a period of failing
health. He was born in Gettysburg, PA August 3, 1948 the son of the late
Richard and Rita (Sneeringer) Rineman.
Jon was raised in Hanover, PA, graduated from
Delone Catholic High School and then attended the Coast Guard Academy for a
brief time before transitioning to Pennsylvania State University at State
College, where he graduated in 1971. After his graduation he entered the US Navy
where he served in naval aviation as pilot and later served with the Naval
Reserve. He retired from the Navy in 1995 with 20 years of service with the
rank of Commander. During his tenure with the Naval Reserve he was employed as
a pilot with Delta Airlines and retired in 2005 with 28 years of service.
A resident of North Hampton since 1986, he served
the community as selectman and member of the school board. He was a communicant
of St. Theresa Church in Rye Beach, and after his retirement from the airlines
worked as a school bus driver for First Student for seven years.
He shared 41 years of marriage with his wife Nancy
E. (Shea) Rineman.
In addition to his wife he leaves his son Jon R.
Rineman, Jr. of North Hampton, his daughter Stephanie Lin and her husband Alex
Lin of Enfield, CT, three grandchildren Sadie Rineman, Amelia and Henry Lin, 2
nieces and 2 nephews, Leslie, Richard and his twin sister Kathleen and Michael
Shafer.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by
his sister Marie Shafer.
Visiting hours will be from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday,
July 28, 2022 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette
Road, Hampton. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday
at St. Theresa Church, 815 Central Road, Rye Beach. Burial will follow in
Center Cemetery, North Hampton. In lieu of traditional remembrances donations
may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 1226, Syracuse, NY 13218.
