___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

Obituary :

Kenneth Joseph Bogle 80, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, 21, 2022.

Ken was born on March 3, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia, son of the late Joseph Edgar Bogle Jr. and Eloise Cook Bogle.

Ken is survived by Shirley Bogle, his loving wife of 29 years, four sons, Kenneth Joseph Bogle Jr., Christopher George Bogle, Kevin David Bogle, Stephen Jeremy Bogle, his wife Natalee Bogle, daughter Sabrina Mau; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Isabella, Bret, Olivia, Matthew, Landon, and Stella; sister; Charlie Risien and niece Jane Bliss Birk.

Ken served his country for four years in the United States Air Force. Ken had a passion for flying and at the young age of 23, he was employed as a pilot for Delta Air Lines. He handled many aircraft emergencies and abnormalities with professionalism and a calm demeanor. One of his greatest accomplishments was being selected as a line Check Captain in Miami on the B-727. After 31 years of flying for Delta Air Lines, Ken retired.

With Ken’s magnetic personality and winning smile, he loved RVing, especially in Sunset Valley RV Park where he was highly regarded and respected by all who knew him. He loved to travel and enjoyed many river boat cruises in Europe. Ken was also a “foodie”, he never met a hotdog he didn’t like.

Ken will be laid to rest in Bay Pines National Cemetery in August.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to cancer research in Kenneth’s name.

FOREVER REMEMBERED   FOREVER LOVED
