Obituary for Knyvet Robert Wilson

Knyvet Robert Wilson, 80, of Sharpsburg , Georgia , formerly of Kenner, Louisiana passed away on February 8, 2023.

 

He was born October 20, 1942 in Asheville North Carolina to Ethel and Knyvet McDonald Wilson. They soon after moved to New Orleans, Louisiana where he grew up. Drafted into the army he was honorably discharged after completion of his tour of duty.

Bob married Alice Ann Neely on August 5, 1967 and had two children, Michael Wilson and Christine Schneider. He worked for Delta Airlines until retirement and was then a consultant for the Airline Pilots Association up until his death. Bob was known for never holding a grudge and seeing the best in everyone he encountered. He enjoyed aviation, fishing, taking Alice to Cirque du Soleil performances and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Ethel and Knyvet McDonald Wilson and his sister Barbara Raley.

 

Bob is survived by his wife Alice Neely Wilson children Michael Wilson of Tyrone and Christine Schneider and her husband Nick of Lebanon Ohio and his grandchildren Hayden and Kayla Tanner.

 

Visitation for family and friends will be at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan ,Ga, 30263 on Tuesday, February 14 between 3:00 and 4:00, with a memorial service beginning at 4:00.
