Notice of passing….retired Delta pilot Captain John Douglas Tullier, age 74.  Captain Tullier joined Delta Air Lines 08-21-1978 and was based 030/ATL.  He is survived by his wife Nadine and by his children and grandchildren.

Obituary : John ('Dee') Douglas Tullier, 74, died Thursday, June 2, 2022, of complications from cancer. John was born to Marion Paul Tullier and Frances Comiskey Tullier in Baton Rouge, where he was raised and attended Sacred Heart elementary school, graduating from Catholic High School and Louisiana State University with a B.A. in Finance. John served in the United States Air Force as a pilot. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, flying more than 400 missions over southeast Asia and receiving four Distinguished Flying Crosses and sixteen Air Medals. He went on to become a pilot with Delta Airlines, retiring as a Captain on the 737-800. John spent endless hours at his computer, watching the stock market and food videos, both of which were passions of his. He loved to cook, experimenting with recipes, especially grilling meat and making pastries or anything sweet. John thoroughly enjoyed a good banter, and especially loved spending time with his family. John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nadine Roussel Tullier, his children Paula Tullier Nolan (Michael) and Kevin Tullier, his grandchildren Jack and Katie Nolan, his brother Paul Tullier (Sherri), and his sisters-in-law JoAnne Blouin and Sharon Edmon (Dennis).Preceded in death by his parents Marion and Francis Tullier and in-laws Paul and Dot Roussel.

Service arrangements at Resthaven are being planned.
