David Clyde Huether, age 65, of Fayetteville, GA went to be with the Lord on March 20th.  He is survived by his loving wife, Alma of Fayetteville, GA, four children, Brian Huether (Shelli) of Nolensville, TN, Robyn Thelamour (Anthony) of Fayetteville, GA, Lindsey Dolan (Drew) of Cincinnati, OH, Joy Huether of Nashville, TN, his brother Phillip Michael Huether of Hixson, TN, and sister Barbara Lee Huether of Columbia, SC.  His grandchildren are Lilia Grey Doyle, Anna Josephine Huether, and Levi Brian Huether.  He graduated from East Carolina University and earned a double Masters degree from Webster University.  He commissioned into the Air Force in 1972 and served for 12 years as a T-38 and C-130 pilot, and retired from Delta Airlines after 27 years.  He flew for Airtran for one year before being diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2007.  He played the banjo, guitar, mandolin, enjoyed running, and was an active member at Berachah Bible Church.  David was born in Baltimore, MD and lived in various locations over the years as a military dependent before finally settling in Peachtree City, GA.  He was known for his kind and gentle nature, ability to make friends easily, and his constant service to others.  He had an unyielding passion for cleanliness and was admired for his skill with a vacuum cleaner.  The memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 24th at 3:00 PM at Berachah Bible Church in Jonesboro, GA.  The family will be greeting friends at a fellowship time starting at 2:00 PM.  Memorial donations may be given to the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, Office of Gift Records, Emory University, 1762 Clifton Rd. Jesse DeWayne Hill, 76, of Germantown, TN passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Violet Hill and a daughter, Deborah Hill. Mr. Hill is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Jo Hill, two children, Kim Howell (Coburn) and Janet Howe (Chad) and four grandchildren, Lana Howe, Jessie Howe, Evie Howell and Brock Howell. Mr. Hill served in the US Army and went on to work and retire as a Captain of Southern Airways, Republic Airlines and Northwest Airlines. He was a member of Germantown Baptist Church. Mr. Hill was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, March 21st from 12-2pm with the funeral at 2pm at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119. The burial will take place at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Gallant, AL. Memorial Contributions can be made to Germantown Baptist Church.

News with the passing of retired pilot Captain Jim Stahlke has reached us.  Born/raised in Minnesota, Captain Stahlke was 66 years of age at the time of his passing.  He is survived by his wife Kay.  Services are planned for Captain Stahlke this Wednesday, March 23rd in Excelsior MN....please see information below.

James W. Stahlke, age 66, passed away Mar. 14 at his beloved second home in Panama City Beach, Florida after a 3 year battle with neuro-endocrine pancreatic cancer. He fought the good fight for so long, never complaining. Jim was raised in Delano, MN. He graduated from DHS in '67 where he's been described as the "pillar of their class". He went on to the Air Force Academy but decided to return to the U of M where he received his business degree from the Carlson School of Business. During college he joined the Air Force as a medic. After college he went on to officer training school and was on active duty for six years. He flew the C-141 during the Vietnam war flying refugees to the U.S. and received the Air Medal. He was later assigned to Presidental Support flying to embassies around the world. He retired from the Air Force Reserves after 20 years as a Major. His father instilled in him the love of flying and he made his first solo flight at the age of 16. He was hired in 1979 by North Central and ended his career as a 767/777 Captain for Delta. When asked how he liked his job his response was "It's better than working for a living!" He loved his career. He relished learning, reading historical books and was a WWII buff. He enjoyed golfing with his friends and two boys, going to San Diego to see his daughter and grandchildren, spending time with Kay's family at the mountain cabin in Idaho, spending time together on Lake Minnetonka, and traveling with his family all over the world. Jim is survived by his wife Kay of 28 years, married March 19, 1988 in Boise Idaho. His daughter Tina, grandchildren Pierce and Rachel, sons Ben and Matt. Brother Steve-Sue, sister Julie Bernick-Mel, and sister Beth Logsdon-Len. Nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Dwain and Ruth Stahlke. He lived the past 29 years in Mound and was proud to be part of such a wonderful community. The common thread in people's comments is His smile lit up a room, he was a mentor to many, and the nicest most thoughtful man. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, March 23 at 11:00 am with a luncheon to follow, Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 301 County Road 19, Excelsior, MN 55331. Jim Stahlke, retired DL, NW, RC pilot died yesterday, 3/14/16 at the age of 67.  He battled cancer for 3 years.  No further information is available at this time.

James Robert Hart passed away March 18, 2016 at his home in Dawsonville, GA after a lengthy illness. He was born in Wooster, OH on Nov. 9, 1949 to the late Alice (Morgan) and Leland B. Hart formerly of Wooster, OH and Tavares, FL. Hart attended high school at Culver Military Academy in Indiana where he graduated in 1968. He continued his education at The Citadel, Charleston, SC, graduating in 1972 as a Distinguished Military Graduate with a Business degree and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the US Air Force. While at the Citadel, he was active in the Flying Club and served as the Regimental Sergeant Major his junior year and the Commander of "O" Company, 4th Battalion his senior year. After graduation from The Citadel he underwent pilot training at Laughlin AFB, in Del Rio Texas. He was posted to the 13th Tactical Fighter Squadron of the 432nd Tactical Reconnaissance Wing, and was based in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Predominately an air-to-air combat flying unit flying the F-4 Phantom and was involved in a number of US operations. Completing his tour in Thailand, Hart was assigned to the 64th Fighter Weapons Squadron at Nellis AFB, Nevada where he was promoted to Captain and flew the F-5E to simulate the Mig-21 in air combat training. He became a charter member of the 65th Aggressor Squadron where he served with distinction until leaving for a career with Delta Airlines. Hart began his 36 year flying career with Delta in 1978 flying the B727, DC9 and MD88 as a flight engineer. Subsequent to his promotion to Captain he flew the 757, 767 and the 777. It was on the 777 that Jim completed his last fourteen years flying internationally and retired November of 2014. Hart was an avid life long aviator, beginning his flying career at the age of 16. He possessed both pilot and instructor ratings in multiple aircraft types. He loved general aviation flying and flew out of Gainesville, GA. When not in the air, he enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with his son Bryan and friends, living and boating with family on Lake Lanier and taking in the view from the deck of his cabin in Bozeman, Montana. Hart spent his last year in the company of his loving family, many close friends and his Citadel classmates with whom he shared a special bond. He is survived by wife Anita Adkins Hart, daughter Katherine of Bozeman, MT, son Bryan of Dawsonville, GA, brother John (Jack) Hart and sister-in-law Dr Laurel Berry-Hart of Bluffton, SC, sister Judy Fagan of Columbus, OH, sister-in-law Alyse Adkins Brand and brother-in-law Skip Brand of Sarasota, FL, two nieces, two nephews, two grand nieces and a grand nephew. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jim's honor may be made to defeatgbm.org, Shepherd Center, give.shepherd.org or Dawson County Humane Society.

       ................Our Delta new hire classmate Capt Jim Hart passed away yesterday................... not have much information other then visitation is at their home on Wed March 23 (6-8 pm).  The memorial service is Thurs March 24th at 10:00 am but I do not know where and burial is at the GA National Cemetery.................

News with the passing of retired Delta pilot Captain Hugh Boylan has reached us.  Captain Boylan joined Delta Air Lines 05-02-1969 and retired in 2001.  He was based DFW, then ATL/031 at the time of his retirement.  Captain Boylan was 74 years of age.

This is to inform you of the passing of my good friend, Hugh Boylan.  His
son informed me that Hugh passed away yesterday afternoon after a brief bout
with cancer.  He was in the May, 1969 Delta class, and retired on the 777 in
ATL June 1, 2001.  A memorial will be held for Hugh later in April. 

I will keep you informed with further information.
