Very belated notice, and as noted in the Nov/Dec 2018 ALPA Air Line Pilot magazine's In Memoriam columns .... the passing of retired North Central/Republic Airlines (NWA) pilot Captain Alan Dale Morphew, age 87.

OBITUARY..............Alan D. Morphew
-- Morphew, Alan D.,  age 87 of Lakeville passed away October 22, 2017. Alan proudly served his country in the US Air National Guard for 10 years and was called to duty during the Korean War. He then flew for North Central/Republic Airlines for 30 years before his retirement. Alan is preceded in death by his sister, Joyce (Roger) Livermore. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, JoAnn; children, Dale, Dean (Patricia), David (Theresa), Peter (Mary), Bruce (Jeri) Morphew; 8 grandchildren and sister, Gloria Jean (Lee) Mason, also by other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at White Funeral Home Chapel, 14560 Pennock Ave., Apple Valley (952-432-2001) with visitation 1 hr. prior to service. Private interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials will be donated to Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing or Highview Hills. Condolences: whitefuneralhomes.com

Belated notice, and as noted in the Nov/Dec 2018 ALPA Air Line Pilot magazine's In Memoriam columns .... the passing of retired Republic/Northwest Airlines pilot Captain Roger Leo Charbonneau, age 76.

OBITUARY...............Roger L. Charbonneau 

 - Roger L. Charbonneau, 76, died on August 29, 2018 at home after a long battle with Mesothelioma. Roger was born in Worcester, MA on December 24, 1942. He was the son of the late John and Rita (Frigon) Charbonneau. He is survived by his son Noel Charbonneau and his wife Wannapha of Bangkok, Thailand, Noel's mother Anne, his brother Ronald Charbonneau and his wife Marilyn of Davidson, NC, sister Janet Prunier and her husband Adrien of Grafton, MA and many nieces and nephews and close friends. He graduated from South High in Worcester, Embry Institute of Aeronautics in Daytona, FL and East Coast Aero Technical School of Lexington. He served 3 years in the Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He received the Army Commendation Medal for service as a Specialist Fourth Class and the Second Oak Leaf Cluster to the Air Medal for "meritorious service while participating in aerial flight." Roger was a pilot and flew for various airlines but the longest was with Island Airlines in Hyannis. While flying for Republic Airlines he received the Superior Airmanship Award for his outstanding skill in averting a potential disaster. He conducted a safe landing when his aircraft was severely damaged by a bird strike to the wind shield. He loved sailing his 30ft. sailboat in Nantucket Sound and running his power boat on the Manatee River in Florida. We would like to thank all his close friends who were there for him throughout his illness and especially the care he received at the end. All that you did is greatly appreciated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his burial Friday September 28th at 2pm with military honors at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.

Belated notice, and as noted in the Nov/Dec 2018 ALPA Air Line Pilot magazine's In Memoriam columns .... the passing of retired Western/Delta  pilot Captain Alfred Duane Haggard, age 81.  Captain Haggard joined Western Airlines 01-13-1969 and retired with Delta Air Lines in 1996, based 030/SLC.

Obituary..........................Alfred Duane Haggard
Alfred Duane Haggard, 81, a resident of Star, passed away May 19, 2018 in Star.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Eagle Nazarene Church, 1001 W. State St. in Eagle.  A private committal will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.

DL Capt. Steve V. Guenard

Word has reached our group with the passing of retired Delta pilot Captain Steve Voelker Guenard, age 70.  Captain Guenard joined Delta Air Lines 10-18-1976 and retired in 2003, based 030/SLC..  He is survived by his wife Anne, his sons and his grandchildren.

Obituary...................Steve Voelker Guenard
Steve Guenard took his final flight on December 23, 2018.  He passed away peacefully at his family home, Arlington, in Lake Providence, LA.  Steve was born in Vicksburg, MS to Stephen and Flournoy Guenard on April 4, 1948. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1970 and served as an F-106 pilot in the Air Force from 1970-1975. In 1976 he was hired by Delta Air Lines. He flew for Delta for 27 years before retiring from the Salt Lake City base in 2003.
Steve is survived by his wife of 43 years, Anne of Park City, UT, sons, Zack (Kristin) of Park City, John (Jennifer) of Metairie, LA, and grandchildren, Imbrie and Wesley of Park City.
Steve lived a life filled with love of family, community, and aviation. He was dedicated to preserving World War II aircraft and to keeping them flying. He co-founded the Heber Aero Museum and was a member of the Commemorative Air Force.  For most people, the sky is the limit. For Steve, the sky was his home.
A funeral mass will be held January 12 at 3:00pm at St. Patrick Church in Lake Providence.
