Thank you to retired Delta Captain Joe Ivey for calling me with the sad news of the death yesterday of Mrs. Catherine 'Penny' Kordowski, 77, wife of retired Delta Captain Charles A. Kordowski. She had been ill with Alzheimer's Disease for several years and had been living in a nursing home. Captain Charles was born August 18, 1932 and hired by Delta September 11, 1956, based in ATL.

Biography
Mrs. Catherine Kordowski of Palmetto passed away September
13, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Charles Kordowski of Palmetto;
daughters, Linda Kordowski-Jones and her husband Garry Neal of Newnan; Laura
Kordowski-Huffmaster and her husband David of Glennville; grandchildren,
Charles Hayden Jones; Helen Catherine Huffmaster; Nathaniel Hall Huffmaster;
sisters, Margaret Mary McKenna; Doris Marie Kiszely and extended family, Jerry
and Sandy Bentley and Jane Ogletree. A celebration of life service will be held
Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 4 o’clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral
Home. Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at www.parrottfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to St. Jude Children’s
Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908. The family
