December 31, 1935 - October 6, 2016
 
Notification with the passing of Delta Golden Wings member retired Delta pilot Captain Bob Turner, age 80.  Captain Turner joined Delta Air Lines 09-03-1957 and retired with Delta based 031/ATL.  He is survived by his wife Rose.  Services are planned for tomorrow October 9th in Peachtree City, Georgia.  To view/sign the online guestbook please visit the funeral home website at

Robert W. "Bob" Turner of Brooks, died October 6, 2016. He was retired from Delta Airlines. He is survived by his wife, Rose Staten Turner; sons, Robert W. (Ivalyn) Turner, Jr., Greenville; Gary S. Turner, Thompson Station, TN; granddaughters, Jessica Turner, Skyler Turner, and Kayla (Andrew) Pollock; great granddaughter, Olivia Pollock; brothers, William M. (Joan) Turner, South Weber, Utah; C. O. Turner, III and Ray L. Turner, both of Memphis, TN. Mr. Turner was predeceased by his parents, 1 brother, and 1 sister. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9 in the chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until service. Interment at Brooks Memorial Gardens at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's charity of choice .
