Notification with the passing of retired Delta pilot Captain Robert W. Boehm, age 78.  Captain Boehm joined Delta Air Lines 01-29-1973 and was based Boston.  He is survived by his wife Michaele, and by his daughters and grandchildren.

Obituary :  Robert W. Boehm, of Bedford died peacefully on January 17, 2022.

 

Born in Englewood, New Jersey on June 27th, 1943, he was the son of Gerhard Boehm and Lillian (Bursian) Boehm. He graduated from Bergenfield High School in 1961 and is in the Bergenfield High School Basketball Hall of Fame. Bob went on to play NCAA basketball for The University of Rhode Island, where he graduated with a degree in Mathematics in 1966. Bob's dedication to country had him serve in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War as an aviator. Prior to his retirement, Bob had been a commercial pilot for Delta Airlines for 30 years.

 

Robert enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. His stories and incredible memory for sports stats and obscure facts always entertained. Bob was an active grandfather who never shied from spending time at a driving range or golf course to pass along his passion for golf. Bob was also a devout Catholic with an unwavering faith, who celebrated 54 years of marriage to his wife, Michaele (Welch) Boehm.

 

In addition to his wife, Bob is remembered by his daughter Kacey Graham and husband Michael, daughter Ryan Meyskins and husband Eli, sister Karen Kuhlmann and husband Chuck & family, brother Bruce H. Boehm (deceased) and wife Lorna Ray & family, Brother-in-law Barry Welch (deceased) and wife Carol Welch, Brother-in-law Terry Welch and wife Diana. Bob will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Kiley, Quinn, Teagan and Bowie.

 

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester, will be Thursday, February 3rd from 4 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 4th at 10 am at St. Stanislaus Church, 5 Green Street, Nashua. The family requests immediate family only for procession and final prayers at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, NH.
