SHREVEPORT, LA - Carlton Harvey Cornelius Hall, 63, of Shreveport, LA passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 after bravely fighting a short battle with cancer.
SHREVEPORT, LA - Carlton Harvey Cornelius Hall, 63, of Shreveport, LA passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 after bravely fighting a short battle with cancer.
Visitation was held at Osborn Funeral Home on Monday, March 26, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27 at Broadmoor Baptist Church,
with Dr. Tom Harrison officiating.
Carlton was born in Louisville, KY and was a resident of Shreveport, LA, for more than 35 years. He was an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and the Steadfast Sunday School Class. He sang in the choir as well as the Good News Quartet. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a degree in Professional Aviation in 1973, where he met his lovely wife, Vicky, while they were both members of the LA Tech Skydiving team. He was a commercial airline pilot for more than 30 years and retired as Captain from Northwest Airlines. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and restoring classic cars.
Carlton was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend George Milton Hall and Donna Bonnett Hall, and one brother, George Milton Carlton Hall. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Vicky Colvin Hall, and three children, Heather Hall Vescovo and husband, Stephen of Memphis, TN, Carlton Harvey Cornelius Hall, Jr. (Neil) of Shreveport, LA, and Josef Scott Colvin Hall of Calhoun, LA, two grandchildren, the lights of his life- Lilliana and Trace Vescovo, two sisters, Catherine Hall DalNogare and husband Tony of Kalispell, MT, and Alisa Hall Hutchins and husband Robert of Hull, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers were Danny Bozeman, Gus Butterfield, Jetson Allen, Cliff Ogden, Paul Flores and Jeff Watson.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Broadmoor Baptist Church Mission Ministry or Broadmoor Baptist Church Music Ministry or your favorite Cancer Research Charity, will be appreciated.
