Word has been received of the passing of WA/DL pilot Captain William C. ‘Bill’ Strachan, age 76.  Bill hired on with Western 04-21-1969.  
There were no services.  
A private scattering of ashes will take place at a later date in Hawaii.

William C. Strachan, 76, of Phoenix and Honolulu, a retired captain at Western and Delta airlines, died in Phoenix. He was born in Aberdeen, S.D. He is survived by wife Mary Lou, son Steve, daughter Susan Strachan-Payne and three grandchildren. No services. Private scattering of ashes.

This afternoon I received a phone call from Mary Lou Strachan advising me
of Bill's passing at 0035 hrs. today, 13 May 2012. Bill and I were new hire
classmates in April 1969. His date of birth is 29 AUG 1935. Their place of
residence is 1414 Night Hawk Way, Phoenix, AZ. 85048. There are no services planned.
