  Notification with the passing of NWA Captain Thomas Allen Derr, age 75.  Captain Derr joined Northwest 11-04-1968 and retired at the mandatory age 60 in 1998.

Survived by wife, Claudia; children, Sarah (Timothy) Hook, of Richfield, Kenneth Derr, of Richfield, Debbie (Phil) Smith, Oroville, CA; stepchildren, Alyssa (Adam) Morris, of Coon Rapids, Rochelle (Chris) McCavin , of St. Louis, MO; 9 grandchildren; brother, Dennis Derr, of Atlanta, GA; sister, Nancy Dichert, of Atlanta, GA. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10:30 AM at St. Victoria Catholic Church, 8228 Victoria Drive, Victoria. Visitation one hour prior to mass at church. Obituary Notice for Thomas A. Derr 
Thomas Allen Derr, age 75, of Chaska, MN, died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at his home. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 20, 2013, 10:30 AM at St. Victoria Catholic Church, 8228 Victoria Drive, Victoria, with Father Robert White presiding. The visitation will be one hour prior to mass at the church. The burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.  

Thomas was born March 9, 1938 in Lewisburg, Ohio, to Kenneth and Pearl (McKibbon) Derr, one of four children. He was a 30 year retired pilot for Northwest Airlines.  

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Pearl; and sister, Jenny Derr.  

Survivors include his wife, Claudia; children, Sarah (Timothy) Hook, of Richfield, Kenneth Derr, of Richfield, Debbie (Phil) Smith, of Oroville, CA; stepchildren, Alyssa (Adam) Morris, of Coon Rapids, Rochelle (Chris) McCavin, of St. Louis, MO; 9 grandchildren; brother, Dennis Derr, of Atlanta, GA; sister, Nancy Dichert, of Atlanta, GA.  

Funeral arrangements are with the Bertas Funeral Home of Chaska, MN.
