just five months ago. Moria was 82 years of age at the time of her passing June
24th. A memorial will take place at the family residence in
Canada.

Moira Gwendolyn Roberts, 82
Marblehead, MA & Ozona, FL — Moira Gwendolyn Roberts, 82, beloved wife
of the late Edwin "Ted" Campbell Roberts, passed away from complications
following surgery on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Florida Hospital, Tarpon
Springs, Fla., surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 22, 1931, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, she was the
daughter of the late John H. Mowat and Edna M. Mowat. Moira graduated from
secondary school and then attended Havergal College in Toronto.
On November 24, 1951, she married Ted Roberts, and soon after they began a
journey with the United States Air Force. Upon completion of his tour of duty as
an F-84 pilot, Ted became an airline pilot and flew for Northeast and Delta
Airlines. During this time, Moira was an active participant in the Delta Wives
Association. Moira was also very active in the Danvers Garden Club and Girls
Scouts of America. An avid collector of antiques, Moira was the owner of the
"Country Mouse," an antique shop in Marblehead, Mass. As a resident of Danvers,
and later Marblehead, she was an active, 23-year member of the Boston Yacht
Club.
Moira was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She
was an excellent mother to her children, whom she took great pride in raising.
In addition to her late husband, Ted Roberts, recently celebrating 63 years
together, she is survived by a daughter, Diane Adams and her husband, Michael,
of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and three sons, Edwin C. Roberts Jr. and his wife, Lucy,
of West Ossipee, N.H., John R. Roberts and his wife, Cathy, of San Antonio,
Texas, and Richard W. Roberts and his wife, Melissa, of Coral Springs, Fla.
Moira was also "Grandma" to eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The memorial will take place at the family residence in Canada.

joined Northeast Airlines 12-18-1957 and retired with Delta Air Lines in
December 1989, based Boston. Survived by his wife Moira personal condolences

Marblehead, MA / Ozona, FL — Edwin "Ted" Campbell Roberts, beloved
husband of Moira G. Roberts, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at Sea
Coast Hospice in Palm Harbor, Florida surrounded by his loving family.
Born
on December 19, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Edwin C.
and Josephine A. Roberts. Following his graduation from Howe Military School, he
attended Alma College and Michigan State University. In 1952, he joined the
United States Air Force as an aviation cadet and received his pilot wings (Class
53B) at Webb Air Force Base on March 17, 1953. Second Lieutenant Roberts
reported to his first duty assignment as an F-84F fighter pilot at Turner AFB,
Georgia.
As a
captain and Korean War veteran, Ted was initially hired as a pilot with
Northeast Airlines. After Northeast combined with Delta Airlines, Ted advanced
his career and eventually retired as a B-767 Captain after 32 years of service.
As a resident of Danvers and later Marblehead, MA, he was an active 23-year
member of the Boston Yacht Club.
Ted
was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an
excellent father to his children, with whom he took great pleasure in raising.
In addition to his wife, Moira (Mowat) Roberts, recently celebrating 63 years
together, he is survived by a daughter, Diane Adams and her husband, Michael, of
Palm Harbor, FL; and three sons, Edwin C. Roberts, Jr. of West Ossipee, NH, John
R. Roberts and his wife, Cathy A., of San Antonio, TX and Richard W. Roberts and
his wife, Melissa, of Coral Springs, FL. Ted was also "Papa" to eight
grandchildren, and seven
great-grandchildren.
