___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

Arlene passed away after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on January 28, 2016. She was born September 28, 1935 to Edith and Harvey Roush in Noti, Oregon.

Arlene was a gypsy at heart and traveled the world. She loved family dinners, good food and wine, Christmas and Easter, watching football, playing bridge, summers in Oregon and holding babies. She was extremely creative and talented and put these gifts to use as an interior decorator for many years. She was a beautiful, elegant and classy lady. She loved being with her kids and was our best friend.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Neil, daughter Patti, son-in-law Michael, sons John and Matthew. She is also survived by her sister Ellen Babbitt, brother Jerry Roush, sister-in-law Mary Manship and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services in San Antonio and Oregon are pending.
The family requests that remembrances be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
