Notification with the passing of retired Northwest pilot Captain Robert Lowenthal, age 78.  Captain Lowenthal joined Northwest Airlines 08-01-1966.  He is survived by his wife Kathryn.

Services for Captain Lowenthal will be held Saturday, October 1st in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Robert Lowenthal, 78, passed away peacefully on Sept. 6, 2016 after a full and adventurous life as a Marine and Captain with Northwest Airlines. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathryn; one brother; three children; 7 grandchildren. The family would like to extend sincere appreciation to Vitas Hospice, St. Michael's Home Care, and Cypress Village, as well as the many friends and neighbors who reached out in loving kindness in his final days. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct 1 at 11:00am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 545 A1A North, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082.
