WA/DL Capt. Budd J. Kelly
March 5, 1940 ~ December 17, 2019



We have learned of the passing of retired Western/Delta pilot Captain Budd Joseph Kelly.  Captain Kelly suffered a heart attack and was 79 years of age at the time of his passing.  Captain Kelly joined Western Airlines 03-27-1967 and retired with Delta Air Lines in 2000, based 030/ATL.
Friends write:  “We have lost one of the WESTERN "GOOD GUYS" - BUDD KELLY.  Budd passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019.  He was an amazing pilot and truly one of the good guys. He loved his family, friends and Western. He will be sorely missed. Photo: Budd's retirement flight on the DAL L-1011 with Ann Flaskamp Herring and Budd's son, Scott, now a UAL Captain. “
We understand that a Memorial Service for Captain Kelly is planned for Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at 3:00 PM, at ChristLife Community Church in Franktown, Colorado.  https://www.christlifecc.org/
