WA/DL Capt. Mervin K. Nilsson

April 5, 1936 ~ May 7, 2021

 

From friends and family we have sadly learned of the passing of retired Western/Delta pilot Captain Mervin ‘Merv’ Karl Nilsson, age 85.  Captain Nilsson first worked as a mechanic with Eastern Airlines before hiring on as a pilot with Western Airlines 04-18-1966, and then retiring with Delta Air Lines.   Services and arrangements are not yet known.  As we receive more information we will be sure to pass it along.

    I had the pleasure of flying with Merv many times over the years. A true joy to fly with. Always the consumate gentleman who was liked and respected by all. He will always be remembered. God bless.
