with the passing of retired Northwest/Delta pilot Captain Ben Deitermann, age
60. Captain Deitermann is survived by

Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life event
is planned for July 24th at St. Joan of Arc Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
NWA/Delta Captain Ben Deitermann, age 60, died on June 5,
2021. Ben was born on July 10, 1960 and was hired by NWA on November 9, 1984.

Ben is survived by his daughters Annika and Alexandra (Ally)
Deitermann, his mother Martha (Hertl) Deitermann, his sister Katharina
Deitermann, nieces and nephews, relatives in Germany, friends, and colleagues.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bernhard E. Deitermann. Ben grew up in
Minneapolis and graduated from Roosevelt High School. While earning his
Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of North Dakota,
Ben worked as a flight instructor logging many hours to become a pilot for
Transwestern, Republic, Northwest, and Delta Airlines. Ben retired from Delta
as a Boeing -767 captain in 2020. Ben loved flying, singing, fishing, and
traveling, but his greatest love was being a father to his "girls,"
Annika and Ally. We love you and we miss you. Celebration of Life July 24,
2021, St. Joan of Arc Church, 4537 3rd Ave. S. Minneapolis, MN 55419.
Visitation 10am, Service 11am. In remembrance of Ben, memorials to: The John
Lennon Educational Tour Bus, Three Trees Books or UND Aviation Scholarship.”
