Obituary : Preston J. Percle, age 83, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021. He was veteran of the U.S. Air Force; member of the Knights of Columbus, and Eucharistic minister with Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Alcoa, TN.

Preston loved airplanes and cars; in the mid to late 1960s he went to flight school and obtained his private pilot’s license and maintained his private pilot’s license until @ 1972-1973. He started working in April 1960 at Southern Airways, then in late 1970s it became Republic Airlines then in the 1980s merger with Northwest Airlines. After he retired in August 1999, another merger and it became Delta Airlines.

Preston was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton J. and Jean Marie Percle, Sr.

Survivors include his daughter, Pamela Percle; brothers, Perry J. Percle, C.J. Percle, and Clovis Paul Percle; mother of his daughter, Helen G. Percle; and several nieces and nephews.

No services are planned at this time.
